DESCRIPTION
Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca & Journey to Chefchaouen:
Meet your driver in Casablanca hotel or airport and begin your journey to Chefchaouen, a charming town located in the Rif Mountains of northern Morocco, known for its stunning blue-painted buildings. Explore the narrow streets of the medina, surrounded by white and blue walls, and browse through the local markets offering unique handicrafts. Chefchaouen provides excellent opportunities for photography, with beautiful views of the Rif Mountains. Spend the night in a traditional riad with breakfast included.
Day 2: Chefchaouen to Fez via Volubilis and Meknes:
After breakfast, depart Chefchaouen for Volubilis, passing through the scenic Rif Mountains and the town of Wazan. In Volubilis, explore the ancient Roman ruins and learn about the archaeological significance of the site. Next, continue to Meknes, a historical city from the 17th century, where you’ll stop for lunch. Take a tour around the medina’s massive walls, the Bab El Mansour gate, and visit the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Afterward, drive to Fez for an overnight stay at a riad with breakfast.
Day 3: Exploring Fez:
After breakfast, spend the day exploring Fez, one of the oldest cities in Morocco. Start with a visit to the Royal Palace gate and the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), the first ever built in Morocco. Explore cultural landmarks such as the Al Quaraouiyine University, the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mausoleum of Mulay Idriss. After lunch, visit the tiles cooperative and enjoy panoramic views over the medina. Spend the night in a riad with breakfast.
Day 4: Fez to Merzouga via Ifrane, Midelt, and the Atlas Mountains:
Following breakfast, depart Fez and travel towards Ifrane, known as "the Switzerland of Morocco," and on to Midelt. Along the way, enjoy stunning views of the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. Stop in Azrou, a Berber village in Morocco’s largest cedar forest, where you might spot Barbary apes. Continue through Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge, and pass through Errachidia before reaching Merzouga. In Merzouga, embark on a camel trek across the golden sand dunes, followed by a traditional dinner and overnight stay in a desert camp, which is equipped with flush toilets. (Bed and breakfast included).
Day 5: Merzouga to Dades via Todgha Gorge and Tinghir:
Wake up early for a breathtaking sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes, then take a camel ride back to Merzouga. After breakfast, head to Rissani, then onward to Tinghir and the Todgha Gorge, one of the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. After a short hike in the gorge, continue through the Dades Valley, where you can admire the famous "monkey toes" rock formations. Spend the night in a hotel with breakfast and dinner included.
Day 6: Dades to Marrakech via Ouarzazate, Ait Benhaddou, and the High Atlas Mountains:
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive through the "Thousand Kasbahs" route, visiting Skoura Oasis with its 17th-century kasbahs. Stop in Ouarzazate for lunch, and then explore the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, one of Morocco’s oldest and most iconic fortified villages. Continue through the High Atlas Mountains, including the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, before reaching Marrakech. Enjoy the evening in a riad with breakfast.
Day 7: Exploring Marrakech:
Start the day with a guided tour of Marrakech, exploring its key attractions, including the Bahia Palace, the Badi Palace, the Saadian Tombs, Menara Basin, and other hidden gems. For lunch, dine at a top traditional restaurant in Marrakech. In the afternoon, visit the Koutoubia Mosque and the bustling Djemaa el-Fna square, famous for its vibrant atmosphere, street performers, and food stalls. Spend the night in a hotel with breakfast.
Day 8: Transfer to Casablanca:
After breakfast, transfer to Casablanca Airport based on your flight schedule.
